COVID-19

Nordic Mountain

Ski Well, Be Well

Skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing are great outdoor activities that are naturally socially distanced. At Nordic Mountain, Little Switzerland, and Rock Snowpark, we are working tirelessly to provide a safe and healthy experience for our guests and employees in response to COVID-19. While this plan is always evolving with changes in protocols and recommendations from the experts, current items for the 2020/2021 season include:

  • Season Pass Assurance: Free with all season pass purchases, assurance gives you the option to defer use of your pass until next season and offers a prorated credit towards next year in the event we are forced to close due to COVID-19.  More Info
  • Physical Distancing - We are evaluating all areas of our resorts and working to eliminate bottlenecks.  Guests should practice social distancing (6ft apart) from other guests and employees.
  • Employee Protocols and Training - employees will undergo extensive training on new protocols that include masks, hand washing, and staying home when sick.
  • Increased outdoor seating and space - at all three of our resorts, we’ve increased patio and outdoor seating options, including yurts, fire pits, and more exciting improvements all designed to give you more space.
  • More foodservice options - in addition to more space to spread out, we will be offering more outlets to get food and beverage at our properties, including online food ordering and pickup.
  • RFID Ticketing - with radio frequency lift tickets, you can now reload your hard card ticket online and skip the ticket counter completely.

Guest Protection

  • Increased daily cleaning, Hand sanitizing stations are added throughout our facilities, Reduction of touchpoints, Nightly sanitizing the inside of buildings using a commercial grade disinfectant fogger.
  • Expect indoor and possibly outdoor capacity limits. We will at a minimum follow all Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) orders for capacity limits and may impose stricter capacity limits to keep everyone safe and socially distanced.

Guest Expectations and Education

Employee Health

  • Employee health is of the utmost importance to us. All employees will have face coverings when inside or when social distancing is not possible outside. Employees will not be at work if they have tested positive, have symptoms, or have been in close contact with someone that has COVID-19. Our Employee Health Manager is working hard to keep our staff and customers safe.
  • Each area has evaluated social distancing realities. By department, barriers, floor markings, and other methods are being used to social distance employees and guests alike as much as reasonably possible.
  • Our Employee Health Manager will assist employees on decisions of testing and showing up for work and contact the local health department with any positive employee test results.
