Lesson Packages

At Nordic Mountain we have group and private lessons, and a Terrain Based Learning™ area. Lessons are an excellent way to build skill and confidence on the hill.

Beginner Guide

Terrain Based Learning™

Terrain Based Learning is free and available for all of our guests with just a lift ticket. This experience is designed to be self guided with help from QR codes and instructions on signage around the area. However, we often staff this area with instructors to help all of our guests have an optimal learning experience. If you see anyone with a bright green helmet cover, don't hesitate to ask for help.

Private Lessons

Our private lessons are the fastest way to start skiing or snowboarding and to build on skills and confidence. Spend an hour and a half or even more with one of our instructors. Private lessons can include up to four participants. Private lessons run Saturdays and Sundays. For a weekday request, email snowschool@nordicmountain.com and we will do our best to accommodate you. Multi-week Academy

We have a 4-week lesson program for every age and ability level. From a never-ever to an experienced carver, your child will work with the same team of instructors for four weeks in a row. The classes are differentiated by age, but once our instructors have a chance to get to know the students, they will break into smaller groups by ability level. We aim to have a student-teacher ratio of 5:1, but each class will be unique in ability groupings. Find which 4-week Program is right for you on our Multi-week Academy Page.

Nordic Mountain is a Proud PSIA-AASI Member School

The Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) are nonprofit associations dedicated to promoting the sports of skiing and snowboarding through instruction. With more than 31,000 members, PSIA-AASI establishes credentialing standards for snow sports instructors and develops education materials to be used as the core components of instructor training.

As a PSIA member school, Nordic Ski School has both registered and certified ski instructors and trainers that teach to these nationally established standards.

Multi-Week Academy

Our multi-week lesson academy programs provide a unique learning environment with a great mix of community, fun, and progress. Students are grouped by ability and learning objectives, in order to cater to each student's needs. Gather with friends in the Pub while you watch your kids conquer the slopes.
